Have you received a Temporary Food Business Approval from the Shire of Chittering in the last 2 Years?

Food Vendors must have a current Shire of Chittering Temporary Food Business Permit, including signed checklist and uploaded a copy of your Local Government Food Business Registration Certificate. A copy of these MUST accompany this application. These will be forwarded to the Shire of Chittering’s Principal Environmental Health Officer for their approval.

Takeaway food vendors - A Taste of Chittering celebrates local food growers / production from Chittering or nearby regions. Priority and extra promotion will be given to those takeaway food vendors who can demonstrate use of local products best.

All stalls that intend to use a powered or non-powered site shall ensure all power leads and electrical appliances you will use on the day must have been tested and tagged by a licensed electrical worker within the last 12 months. The tags must be visible, legible and attached to the electrical item prior to the event. Event inspectors will conduct visual electrical checks on the day. You must clearly advise your power requirements on your EOI as the event relies on generators. If you require more power than you have indicated on your EOI on the day, then we may not be able to assist.

Terms and Conditions

1. Public Liability Insurance: The Shire’s Temporary Insurance includes insurance for stallholders (subject to the terms and conditions of the policy).There is no insurance cover for stallholders in respect to sale of products, food and drinks. Festival Insurance excludes any cover for operators of rides and amusements. For operators of rides and amusements it is mandatory that you provide evidence of your Public Liability Insurance and the amount of the cover requested is $10,000,000.
Food Vendors & Sale of Goods: The Festival Insurance does not cover your liability arising from goods sold. For your own protection it is recommended you arrange appropriate insurance.

2. Stallholders participate at A Taste of Chittering at their own risk and are required to indemnify and hold harmless the organisers against any claim for damages, costs, claims, expenses and liabilities. (Including without limitations consequential loss and loss of profits) in respect of any loss, damage, injury, disease or death caused through any of the stallholders activities at A Taste of Chittering.

3. Festival hours are from 10.00am to 5.00pm on Sunday 25 August, 2018. After 3.00pm most of the markets will close, though there may be a chance for those interested to continue to stay open whilst the bar area and live entertainment continues until 5.00pm

4. Stallholders shall be set up and ready to commence trading at 10.00am. STALLHOLDERS WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO ENTER THE GROUNDS AFTER 8.30 AM – IT IS ESSENTIAL THAT THEY ARE THERE BEFORE 8.30 AM TO ENSURE ENTRY. Support vehicles are to be removed to the designated stallholder parking areas by 9.00am. There may be a chance to set up the day before the event, but this will be confirmed closer to the event date.

5. STALLS ARE NOT TO BE REMOVED BEFORE 3PM AND ALL PATRONS HAVE LEFT THE MARKET AREA. Stallholders will be required to operate between the hours of 10.00am until 3.00pm. It is expected that all stall holders will have enough supplies to operate throughout this period.
Those stalls that have indicated that they would like to trade late until the end of the entertainment at 5.00pm, are not permitted to cease trading before 5.00pm.

6. Stall fees will not be refunded should inclement weather or factors beyond the control of A Taste of Chittering Festival’s organising committee affect the event.

7. No refunds will be given for cancellations of bookings made within two weeks prior to the Festival.

8. For safety reasons, no stall will be permitted to sell cap guns or toys with any firing ability.

9. A Taste of Chittering’s organising committee reserves the right to refuse any applicant to maintain the spirit of the event or change stall locations without notice.

10. Food Vendors must have a current Temporary Food Business Permit and a copy of this must accompany this application. This Permit will be forwarded to the Shire of Chittering’s Principal Environmental Health Officer for their approval.

11. Temporary Food Stalls must comply with Shire of Chittering ‘Temporary Food Business Checklist’. See Principal Environmental Health Officer @ Shire of Chittering Ph 9576 4614, eho@chittering.wa.gov.au for more information.

12. Stall Holders are to provide their own tables, chairs and weather protection (shades, tents etc). Spikes / Tent Pegs may not be driven into the ground in some stall areas. Stallholders must provide their own weights or methods of securing shelters in these cases. Stallholders are responsible for the erection and dismantling of their own shades.

13. Stallholders may be able to set up the day before the event (to be confirmed) and no responsibility will be taken by A Taste of Chittering for any damage to that stall outside or inside of Festival hours

14. 15. All payments are to be made before a stall number is allocated.

Standard Bay = $50 unpowered / $70 powered (Stallholders to supply 3x3m weighted marquee & ‘fitout’)

Larger Bay = + $20.00 /metre in excess of 3.5 metres frontage (Supply own weighted marquee / fitout).

Takeaway Food Vendor = $100 unpowered / $150 powered (Supply own weighted marquee and / or van / fitout. Also please refer to A Taste of Chittering’s Takeaway Food Vendor Commitment to Local Produce).

Licenced Cellar Door Tasting Stall = $150 (Trestles / 2 x chairs / access to power / security / liquor licence / drinking water. )

* All expressions of interest forms will be considered, and notified as to the result of their application. Please do not send any money now, we will invoice you if your application is successful nearer the event date.
